We're Open!
As of May 1st, Governor Brown has lifted the ban on non-emergency medical appointments. Therefore, we have reopened our doors for routine dental care again. Our biggest concern is for our patient’s and staff’s health and well being. The good news is that prior to this pandemic we were already following all CDC infection control guidelines and feel confident that these procedures we already had in place will continue to make our dental office the cleanest place you will visit during your week.
In addition to the strict infection control we were already doing, you may notice a few changes to help protect you and our staff from virus transmission.
The following extra precautions are being implemented in our office:
Patients and staff are being pre-screened for any symptoms that may be associated with disease; fever, sore throat, shortness of breath, chills, known exposures to infected persons with Covid-19. If any of these symptoms exist we will reappoint or send the staff member home.
Upon arrival patients are asked to wait in their vehicles until called to come in for their appointment. This will limit the number of people in the office or passing each other in the common areas. We are also asking that family members or escorts remain in the vehicle during the appointment.
Temperatures are taken at the door and any fever over 100.4 will be reappointed.
Every person entering the office will hand sanitize.
Medical grade air purifiers with HEPA filters have been installed in all treatment rooms which will turn the room air over 4 times every hour to reduce pathogens in the air.
Common surfaces such as door handles, counters, and bathrooms are wiped between patients with hospital grade disinfectant wipes.
If you have any questions or concerns about this, please call our office 503-359-4463.
Be safe and well,
Dr. Faris and staff
